Cole is just over seven months and won't understand much about Christmas. So far, his favorite things are lunging at the Christmas tree, touching the lights, dressing cute and playing with paper/plastic items (wrapping paper, tissue paper, wal-mart bags, etc). Here are some recent pics. In most of them, he's trying to avoid smiling and looking at the camera...seems like someone will be just like his daddy :)

Booty plate!
Our friend Sarah had a pottery painting party. It was so fun!!! I stole an idea from a friend of a friend. Some people paint things with their child's footprints or handprints, but we took it to a new level. At first glance, the plate looks pretty normal...but look closely at the pumpkin. It's Cole's booty print!
Cole is 6 1/2 months old...hard to believe. We recently saw his doctor for a 6 month check up. He's 19 pounds 14 ounces and 27 inches long which puts him in the 75 percentile for weight and height. Needless to say, he's a big boy. The doctor said he can move on to stage 2 baby food and start drinking juice out of a sippy cup. Here are some recent pics!

Two Teeth
Cole has been drooling since the womb! Everyone kept saying that he must be cutting teeth. Finally, a tooth appeared! My parents were in town this past weekend. Sunday morning, my dad says, "you know he has a tooth, huh?" I had no idea. But, the little tooth made me realize why we hadn't slept much Saturday night. Apparently, cutting teeth is hard work and can't be done while sleeping. He was up and down and restless all night. Although my dad would never brag, I'm pretty sure he was quite pleased that he was there to discover the tooth!
Cole was able to cut his second tooth with little trouble. He slept soundly all night and woke up Tuesday morning with a new tooth on the bottom right beside his first one. I promise I'll post pictures once I figure out this whole blogging thing.
Also...this is a big week for Cole. In addition to shiny new teeth, he turned six months old. Plus, it's Halloween weekend. Coming soon...Halloween pictures and his six month old check up. Stay tuned!
